That’s a great idea!!
But I’d be more worried about the fastening of the stringers to the frame. Nailing or screwing towards the top of the stringers is a no no. With nothing supporting the bottom half of the string all your weight is put on the top. Hopefully nobody gets hurt when they fail?

What do you mean by stringers?

The stringers are the 2 supports for your new stairs. Your big box store will have an adjustable joist hanger that would work as it would support the bottom of the stringer which is what you want.
