Steelman and I went to a day long fishing seminar this past weekend.  It was fun and informative.  There were 4 speakers:
Ron Seelhoff-2006 PWT Angler of the year
Ted Takasaki-1998 PWT Champion, 1995 PWT Top Gun Angler
Greg Bohn "Mr. Slip Bobber"
Rick Nascak-2006 FLW Champion
Mike Norris-Chicagoland radio & tv personality & Top Walleye Expert

They discussed tactics on fishing for walleyes in rivers, lakes and reservoirs.  I always seem to learn something new at these and enjoy the "guys weekend away".  I would have to say while I learned something from each speaker, I learned more from one guy over any other.  That would be Greg "Mr. Slip Bobber" Bohn.

I've never been one to use slip bobbers much but I certainly will be this year!  Everything he said made sense-even to me!  ;D  One thing that just astonished me was, last year he boated over 4,000 walleyes!   :o  Yes-4,000!  Unreal!  I won't be able to share all that I learned as it would take forever for me to type it all.  But one key thing I did learn was....we as fisherpeople sometimes take fishing way too seriously!  We think that the fish are smart or something-when in actuallity they are not!  They have small brains, and will at least investigate anything you put in front of them!  They don't care what kind/color of line you have, how much you paid for your rod, or even how nice your boat is.  All they care about is eating.

Here is Greg's site if you'd like to learn more about him and his methods.  This guy is phenominal!
