We've had a couple of mallards visiting our the pile of fall out from our bird feeder lately.  I went out and got some cracked corn thinking they'd really like that.  Well this morning as I was leaving for work at about 5:45, they were out there just eatin, quackin and looking at me like "Mornin, Grute.  Thanks for the corn.  See ya later."  I walked straight down my sidewalk about 5' away from them and they didn't mind at all.  Here's what they think they look like:

I'll get some real pictures soon.

Here they are in the feather.

I had taken this a few days before.  Sure is a funny surprise to see them in our yard.  I filled a kiddie pool yesterday so now they have some water too.   ;D
