Just wondering who is in this area, or who fishes in this area. Me and my boy are gonna be hitting the lakes hard this spring and summer, just wondering who else fishes down in this area.

Best places around here that I have found are mostly up around Faribault and Waterville area. Mazaska, Sakatah, French, Roberds, and Clear Lake in Waseca hasn't been too bad lately either.

I live in Preston Mn so my choices are the Mississippi or Lake Zumbro witch is Just north of Rochester. I would like to fish over by Faribault but that's about  a 2 hour drive.

I live in Byron, and go to the river (and I really don't like river fishing) almost every weekend....Want my kids to experience catching fish, so I guess to the river we go....the smiles pay the gas tank!

Not quite like when I lived up on lake Vermilion, but it'll do for now

ya, i used to live in Kasson... pretty tough down there for fishing.  did you know that Dodge county is the only county in the state that doesn't have a lake in it?
no, i don't count swamps.  or the river above the damn in matorville.

either take up trout fishing, or be prepared to drive up north a bit.  Mazaska is a great crappie lake.
If a gun kills people then I can blame a pen for my misspells?
