Guys, I hope you all remember that Mother's Day is coming up really soon, (Opening Fishing Weekend Again).  But I am sure you were all quite aware of that!  I just thought I would post this poem here that I saw a few years ago, for anyone that would like to use it for their wife/girlfriend or significant other.  When I saw it I really liked it, and wanted to share it with you all.  Let your wife know how much you love her AHEAD of time this year, or at least On time!  lol!  Here it is.  It may seem kind of cheesy to some of you, but if your significant other loves the outdoors/fishing/camping etc., I guarantee you that she will love it, I did!

Northwoods and You

There's nothing on earth
I'd rather do,
Than pack up my bags
And go up North with you.

We don't need anything fancy
An old tent will do.
Everything is just so right
When it's just me and you.

Let's walk through the pines
where no one can see.
Just hold my hand,
It's heaven to me.

To spend a lot of money,
There's really no need.
Together just sitting by the fire,
Youre' my soul mate indeed.

There's nothing in life
That I'd rather do.
Than be in the northwoods
and spend time with you.

(Poem by Sue Kindler)  I changed some of the words around, so it can be given to a female instead of a male.  Hope you liked it.

Why is it called mothers day and all the wifes expect to get somthing from their hubby? Shouldn't they be happy with what ever the kids get them?

Im sure any mother would be happy with whatever her children would get or make for her, how could they not be?  But showing the mother of your children how much you love and appreciate everything she does for you and your kids is priceless.  It doesn't need to be something you buy, it could be just a simple card or a note, just to show your appreciation for her.  Wouldn't you exspect the same on Fathers Day?  A day that your wife and children want to show you how much they love and appreciate you.  I would think it would make you feel good to have her acknowledge that day for you too.  Everyone likes to feel like they are loved and appreciated.  Maybe I'm wrong, but I really dont think so.  Renee aka GirlGuide
