The bottom line is you don't have to support your fellow hunter's choice of weapon but you do have to support your fellow hunter and his right to have that choice !!!!!!!!

Pro Plan user here! There are some other very good foods available, however there is no other dog food company in the world that does more testing of their product as well as others for quality and digestability than Purina. For those of you who hunt alot it is in your and your dogs best interest to feed a High quailty Premium food. When dogs are on hunting trips, living in a car etc for a few days most dogs will loose their appetite, it's so important to feed a high protien/fat food so the little they do eat hekps them recover from the day. It sure can help to feed a caned food along with the dry food while on trips. In most cases the off season, meaning non hunting ....an adult maintanence food is enough. When you do switch food prior to the hunting season switch 2-3weeks ahead of time letting the dog adjust. Mixing the two foods and gradually moving to one type of food will help the dog adjust. My dogs are my business! The food they eat carries them through the entire hunting season, I cannot stress the importance of a good quailty food. High quality premium foods do not cost. They pay! Big Time!
