If you are on the lake after hours please be safe!!! I have almost been hit multiple times by people not watching where they are going and I have witnessed it twice.

It was maybe 7 years ago we were on Agate Bay Reef.  There was a ton of boats out there all lined up...kinda like a small party ;D Anyways, we could hear and see boats buzzing all around the lake. One particular boat seemed to be getting closer and closer and we started to think maybe he should slow down....well as he got closer and the sound got louder we heard a crash! Then about a second after the crash we heard people yelling and water splashing! a second later there were about 10 spotlights on them and guys were diving in to grab and help others! It was a disaster.

Apparently some IDIOTS were out at the end of the reef sitting there without their lights on. This happened right by us and we had no idea that they were there! Scary.

2 years ago my girlfriend and I were fishing down by Half Moon. It wasn't even dark yet and some IDIOTS were heading right at us full speed! We could hear them yelling back and forth trying to have a conversation over the loud motor but neither was watching were they were going. We both stood up and were yelling! We did not know what to do. I was sure they were going to hit us. Should I jump right before they hit us? Jump when they hit us? No idea what to do....Finally at the last second they veered out of the way.

CARELESS!!!!!!

Please! For the safety of yourself and everyone else out there please pay attention to what you are doing. Make sure your lights work and you have a spotlight on-board.

I don't know about you but I want to make it home!!

 ;)

This goes for all lakes!

I agree!!!!
I had a similar situation on Winnie....I was running about half throttle on plane just slow cruising in from fishing to our camp site....I am passing a point and some moron finally turns his lights on....I was no more than 20 yards from him....had I cut the corner shorter....I would have hit him because he was sitting there with no lights...when his lights came on it scared the you know what outta me.   I should have turn around and idled over to him and chewed him out but I was just so glad I didn't hit him that never crossed my mind.

Be smart and be safe this weekend and all season!!
