::welcome:: fished some of the local areas here in the brainerd lakes yesterday and today . the bass have been in the shallows for the last couple of days , but with the wind and rain we had here they have been spotty at best . fishing for crappies , and picking up bass in the traditional crappie spawning areas has the bass hanging in the 6 to 10 fow depth and hitting on small minnows and lite pike minnows. seeing some bass takeing spinners and plugs along with the occasional crawler or worm . either way with the hope of warmer and clear skies this should be a decent opener for the bucket mouth gators. good luck and safe fishing !
