Hello everybody......I am planning on getting a e-collar for my lab.  I was just looking at the old posts and was wondering if anybody has any new opinions.  I have just one dog and she will be hunting waterfowl and upland birds.  Let me know what kind of collars you use or if you have heard anything about any.  Thanks

Dogtra 2000 T&B.  I've had it now for 2 years with no problems.

Definitely go with Dogtra. I use a Dogtra 202 Gold collar, it is the 2 dog model. The collar is 100% waterproof too.

If you go to the Dogtra website, just select any Retriever model, the retriever models are all waterproof. I think they all come with the pager option.

I've been using this Dogtra for 3 years now, before that i had a Tri-Tronics collar, i was also very happy with that collar, I ended up selling that collar to Mayfly, he still uses it today.

The biggest difference to me in the collars is the size of the transmitter/remote, Dogtra makes the smallest one of the top 3 collar makers. I like the smaller remotes because I wear it around my neck, i think there is a less chance of losing it when its tied to my neck, rather than in a pocket of my vest or jacket.

Still going strong. I think it is the Tri-Tronics Sport 60??

Not sure but it works just fine. The best part about it is the tone. When Luci gets too far I just tone her and hopefully she comes back around. This opening weekend I think I zapped her maybe 3 times. She loves that collar...when I take it out she get so excited, she knows where we are ;D

Very happy with the Tritronics line. (I have the pro 500 G2 EXP 3 dog) I happen to like the large transmitter and easy to find buttons. I have very large hands and find the small transmitters difficult.

I've got two labs and use the Tritronics Sport Combo G3 and love it.  Before I got my 2nd lab I used the Sport 60.  I've never had any problems with either.
