Fishing updates available daily if needed

I normally submit a weekly fishing report on Ely area lakes on Sunday or Monday evenings. However, some may need a more current or detailed report, if planning a last minute trip to Ely.

I have owned and operated the Great Outdoors Bait & Tackle in Ely for all 23 years it has been in business. (more than 5 times longer than any other bait shop owner in town.) I was born and raised in Ely, am 58 years old, and have over 45 years of fishing experience on many of the lakes. Now that I am older and far less mobile than in my youth, I fish Burntside exclusively.

For those that would like a more current report, please feel free to call (218-365-4744) before 10 am daily, or E mail me at greatoutdoors@2z.net. If calling after 10 am, leave a message with Brian, and I will get back to you. We are the shop that looks like a log cabin, one block down from Zup's grocery store on the left side of the street, across the parking lot from Mike's Liquor. Greatoutdoors-thank you for the regular updates!  It's GREATLY appreciated!  And I for one think it's awesome you'd be willing to share a "daily update"!  I'm supposed to be going up that way in Aug./Sept. for a scouting trip in the BWCA, and can't wait! ::rockon::
