We are not sure what they are going to do yet about the slot limit, but one thing I do know for sure, the fish are still biting like crazy.  Good bite out on the rocks and mud. Slip bobber and a leech or trolling crawlers on the mud flats. Bass are going on the shoreline.  Call now to take advantage of this phenomenal bite before it's over.

The fishing this weekend was sort of like the weather, fair to partly, at the end of last week we hit a slow spell, with the bug hatches and the cold front that moved in last Wednesday.  But as the weekend weather started heating things up the fishing picked up a bit.  Sunday was slow with the winds out of the east.   If you?re looking to come up this week and want the big picture fish, head to the gravel and mud, or if you want dinner head shallower for the rocks, deep gravel and mud. Try lindy rigging at a slow pace using a large crawler or leech, you can even start pulling some deep diving crank baits. The shallow rocks (8'-12') in the evening will fair best using a slip-float and a leech. Remember the night ban is off so stay out as long as you wish.  Smallmouth reports trickle in here and there, mostly from the "caught by accident-man what a fight" anglers. It is the time of year to after the bronze-backs, the state record is swimming and ready to enter the books.
Muskie action has not been on our radar yet, we are starting to see a few "throwers" but they always seem to keep the secrets and never report in.
