The walleyes on Island Lake are still going strong out on the reefs in 12 to 15 feet of water slip bobber fishing. On Fish Lake small stick baits in 12 to 14 feet of water on the bottom has been working ok, fishing the windy side.  Boulder Lake has been pretty steady on leeches and crawlers.  On the St. Louis River by whaleback there has been some good fishing with some big walleyes being caught.  Out on Superior there has been some good walleye fishing from 10 to 40 feet of water trolling stick baits.  The catfish bite on the Cloquet and St. Louis Rivers has been good too.

The walleyes have been biting on the St. Louis River down by the lower basin, and the muskies are starting to show up there too.  Guys are trolling and fishing with moving baits.  Out on Lake Superior, some cohos are being caught and the lake trout are biting really good.  Up on the north shore, trolling for rainbows has been good, but shore fishing has slowed down.  With the rain we got early this week, it might bring some back into shore.  The walleyes are biting on the south shore outside the basin by Dutchman?s Creek out in about 30 feet of water down about 15 feet deep with cranks.  Chartreuse and yellow with orange have been good color for everything.
