Just about any Goodyear, Amoco or tire store that sells a lot of new tires will have a large inventory of takeoffs. The store will turn around and sell the takeoffs pretty cheap, knowing that they get there money in new stems, balancing and install. Usually about $25 a piece is the asking price, but a salesman trying to make his tire quota for the month will go lower if necessary. They only keep tires that are safe to resell, so you end up with a pretty great deal. Hurry up and call around because 3 weeks ago was the busiest tire selling time of the year for all auto shops, the used inventory is at its best right now. You'd be surprised at how many people buy new tires every first snowfall of the year, no matter how good or bad there used tires are, most just let the store keep them, because they don't want the hassle of storing them in there own garages. There is also the other type of people too, the ones who get their moneys worth on a set of tires and come in the shop with cords showing.

Good luck!

I second Johns in blaine on 65 they sell only what the test out as good tires.I have bought used from other places before and got cheap tires with bulges in the sides etc. Just walk through the store straight to the back and they have aisles of tires labeled and stocked according to size.Pick your own
