Barnacles Ice & Fishing Update

Jan 2 - The ice is ok in some spots so we are pulling shacks. It still will be a little while before we pull to the flats but we will pull to the sands and the rock pile. We are allowing vehicle traffic but I wouldn't drive on the road to the flats with anything other than an ATV or snowmoblie. Fishing has been slow the only good reports seem to be perch here and there in the sands.

Hey Jim how did the ice hold up this weekend? Any idea when the flats will be drivable?

The ice held up fine to the sands & rockpile. Roads are in good shape. Got a road plowed to the East Flats but are not recommeding driving out there yet but some people have. There are slush pockets out there and one has to be very careful. Hopefully this weekend we can start pulling to the East Flats but it all depends on the weather.
