If you can get out between the wind and the rain, the fishing has been great. the walleyes on Lida have been biting in 20 to 22 feet of water on leeches and crawlers on a lindy rig with a small gold spinner.  The water temp is about 61 degrees.  The Pelican walleye bite has been good too with lots of 12 to 15 inchers being caught.  Shore fishing on Lida has been good for walleyes too, and has been a great option on those windy days.  Muskie fishing on Pelican and Detroit Lakes has been good. The rainbow trout bite in Maplewood State Park has been good, it goes til the end of October.  There are lots of good inexpensive shore fishing opportunities in the area right now.  Stop in for some great ideas.
