On Chisago lake the fish seem to be moving into deeper water, for the best action, try 16-21 fow. Walleyes are suspended 5-6 feet off the bottom, Crappies are very aggressive around 8-10 feet off the bottom. The best areas right now are still the Eagles Nest and the A Frame, just scout around for deeper water and suspended fish.

Kroon Lake has been producing some very nice Northerns, look to the weeds in 6-8 fow. Tip ups have been really good with a Swedish Pimple and a sucker head.

South Lindstrom has been really good for Panfish in deeper water, try the dinner Bell area in 14-20 fow. Remember to drill multiple holes in order to stay on the fish, also changing presentations has been key. Crappies and Walleye can be very finicky as it gets colder.

Good Luck.

Thanks for the report. The south end is still producing well, but I'd sure like to get out to the "A" frame. Keep us updated on the road situation.

Joe, their is a walk on access right next to the A Frame, (shhh) limited parking but the walk is only a few hundred yards on the ice.

Pm me if you want directions.

Jo,

You should hit that spot you and I fished two summers ago....Has to be good. Everytime I have ever fished that lake during the ice season we fished the A frame. All we ever caught were a million little sunnies and crappies and battled a crowd of people.

I fished out there last night and it was starting to become a zoo.  We fished quite aways from the crowd and caught (18-20)9-12" crappies.  We had to be a quarter mile or more from there and there was no signs of anyone fishing there recently.
