Yep...sad to say but when he scored that huge goal, instead of screamin like I normaly would, I just moaned... Oh great, now he's going to be inked in to start the rest of the season....  - t-pout

I agree I was not happy when Skoula scored. I would rather see Burns, Rolston, or Fedoruk score.
It would not hurt my feelings if Skoula went away.

The weird thing about Skoula is he's actually a really solid defender, and is one of the better straight -up defensemen we have... its just that he has these brain farts at the worst times, usually with one minute left in the game, and it cost the team a few wins this year.  Thats what we remember, not his solid play otherwise... and in a division where a loss or two is probably gonna mean makin the playoffs (or not...) the fans are gonna take it to him, aka Billy Buckner.....   -thunderpout

Again, I don't know a ton about hockey but he has the second worst +- on the team. How is that solid? Every time he touches the puck I cringe.

And don't get me started on Gabby. The man is incredibly fast (could be the salts) but he's terrible, at least lately, when it comes to finishing any kind of breakaway or open ice chance. Is this kind of slump typical for a star player?

The +/- deal is an overated stat for the most part, especially for defensmen... unless its well into the -20s a goalie on a bad streak can send defenders #'s off the chart.... "solid" is more than stats, its how you break up plays, how you break out of yer zone, how you cover players.... all these have no real stats to rate you by....  Yeah, Gabby can be streaky at times and reeaal timid going into corners till the coaches get on him.....        -thunderpout

The +/- stats mean nothing as far as I am concerned. I watch how the players are playing. Skoula is overall a descent player but makes alot of wrong decisions at the wrong time.
I wont even start on Gabby or Johnson.
I miss Walz.
I think Burns and Sheppard are gonna be great players with some more experience.
My favorites are still Rolston, Koivu. Parrish, and Burns.
Overall as a team we need to start playing better before the playoffs.
