Here's a recipe some of you may want to try.Warning.You may want to make 6 loaves as the first loaf will be consumed in the first 15 minutes after it comes out of the oven!

Beer Bread:

12 ounces beer,at room temperature
3 cups self rising flour
3 tablespoons sugar

Mix flour,sugar and beer
Mix till moist.Don't beat the mixture.
Put it in a greased loaf pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Right away after it comes out of oven,pour 1 stick of melted butter over the top of bread and remove from loaf pan.

This bread is really good toasted,and really,really good with peanut butter!

That looks really, really good.  I printed it off and I'm going to give it a whirl this weekend.
Any recipe involving a can of beer and a whole stick of butter has my vote. ;)

I've done like 5 loaves already. :o  So easy a chimp could whip up a batch! ;D  I added plenty of roasted garlic (big chunks) and fresh herbs to the dough.  Unbelievably good, and like I said, too easy to make.

If you make six loaves instead of five, then what does the cook have to drink while the bread is baking?....oh well, I guess I'll just have to get a twelve pack and make sure I set the timer. ;D

I'm going to have to give this recipe a try.
