How many rods do you carry in your boat? Are you a one or two rod fishermen or do you carry more? Do you carry so many that your boat looks like a porcupine? I run seven, if the daughter is with me add another five more.

A worming rod
Two top water rods
A buzz bait rod
Two rods for spinners
A rod for crank baits, And they all get wet during the day. And I still find myself having to tie on and change lures. Maybe I need some more rods?   :fishing:

I only bring 2 or 3.  I usually have two little boys in the boat so if I have too many rods they will probably just end up being broken.  In the future that number will probably go up.

I usually bring 4 rods, sometimes 5. It depends on the lake and how many others are in the boat.

3 Walleye rods, 1 ultralight panfish rod and if i think i'll be using it, i bring a 12 foot panfish rod.

I'm not stepping foot into a boat with more than 3 rods. Ideally if I can I will only bring 2.

When hitting the lake I hit it with a plan and I bring what I need to execute that plan.

Scooby and Barbie when the kids are with. The daughter doesn't use the Barbie rod anymore though, she now uses my St Croix.

for good reason, 5 anglers x 5 options = 25 on average...all fit in storage:) how...most rod tubes will fit 2 rods easily.

I carried the same rod and reel for over 2 decades.  It was my last birthday gift from my Dad.  Then a few years ago, I finally got me a new one.  Then the next year or so I got another one.  It was a deal from right here on MNO from our buddy Big Slick.  That one is a musky rod and reel.  If you count my ice fishing gear, I have 3 rods.  WOOO HOOO!!!   ;D  I bet my kids got more than that though.    :bonk:

i do 80 percent of my fishing from shore so i only bring 2 rods, usually keep more in the truck but last year i ruined a rod because it was in the sun and the tip like curled sideways it was weird, :banghead: so i only bring what i will use otherwise for me it justs gets in the way

I guess it also depends on when and where. I do most of my fishing up on Mille Lacs these days and when I go out I am only going out for at most a half day and what I am doing is mostly planned. I guess if I was driving to a lake where I was on my own I would bring it all!

two rods for me, the primary and the back up in case one falls in, or I break a tip.
If a gun kills people then I can blame a pen for my misspells?

My kids and wife call me the king of OVERKILL.

I bring at least six rods for myself and create a lot of chaos in the boat, trip over stuff, spill tackle, break rods  :bonk: and generally make myself miserable  :banghead:.

I can't seem to help myself.  I have tried to down size and bring less in the boat but become depressed and axious over what was left behind.

I NEED to have all my neat fishing gadgets and tools with me to do the job at hand, which mind you is catching FISH............or I do not feel complete.

BUT........I catch fish!  ;D

I catch ALOT of fish!  :dancinred:

I catch fish when others are not catching fish,  :party3: so.........Do I clean up my act and get my (FISHING) S**t together?

NO...I can't, I am too afraid that I will no longer be blessed from the fishing gods above with the Powers that I posess.  :superman:

Does anyone know of a 12 step Program for this disorder???

I think I might need some help.   :help:

The Dr. Prescribed me a new bigger boat for me to easae some of my pain.  I am hoping it helps.

Have a good one all!
