Fish On Bait and Sport - downtown Glenwood

Minnewaska and Reno Update 6.6.08

It has been awhile since I gave any update...just trying to get all of the prescribed burning and tree planting done as I also own and operate PLM.  What a spring to deal with...getting 2 months of work into 4 weeks.  UFDA!  Nobody got a day off and we worked out tails off.  No time to fish unless you count casting from the dock at midnight...fishing is fishing, right!

The walleye bite on Minnewaska has not slowed.  Really alot of fish being caught in just about all areas of the lake from shallow to deep.  I have been fishing (at night) in about 2.5 to 4.5 feet and doing well.  Others have been a little deeper out to 7 and 9 feet.  Buddy of mine caught a 30 incher this last week...big fish!  Others are fishing off school point and some of the other edges as well as the hole in 24 ft.  Alot of great reports from school point and the hole.  Seems all types of bait are using as well as the crank baits...fish with what you like to use.

Panfish on Minnewaska are always great.  It is always the same report for panfish.  It is hard to believe how many really nice sunfish come out of this lake summer through summer.  Amazing.

Reno is hot!  They are really pulling alot of walleyes out of Reno as well...the bite is on.  Again, all baits are working and cranks as well.  I pretty much stick to Minnewaska cuz I can always catch my walleyes there...but you might see my truck/trailer at the landing on Reno this weekend just for something else to do...and to try to come down from the 100 mph spring.

Stop in at Fish On for any updates and all of your bait and tackle needs.  We try to stay on top of the bite and keep the bait fresh.

How about some nice weekend weather for a change?  Who pissed off Mother Nature?

Thanks for the report Kyle.  I will be stopping by probably next Friday morning sometime to pick up my bait, we'll have to chat then.  I'd like to get the kids on some nice sunnies and crappies.  See ya soon!!
