:fishing: i ended up going to lake minnetonka with a buddy we were there at about 5am and the line for the boat ramp was ridiculously long, we waited about an hour before it was our turn to put the boat in. we finally hit the water at a little past 6am. my buddy pulled in a small muskie 34inchs. that was the only fish we boated all day, i had one strike and miss my bucktail,  :censored::cry: it came from underneath our boat and scared me my buddy said it looked like it was in the mid to high 40's  :rotflmao: so i was pretty excited even though i didnt hook up with one. how did everyone else do? any pics? any followers?

Hey Cody,
Opening weekend went pretty well for my group up here on Vermilion. We boated 4 fish ranging from 34 to 47 inches and all total we moved 14 in 2 days of fishing.

All of our fish were caught in shallow water. (less than 6ft) Medium sized bucktails and bass sized spinnerbaits were the hot ticket for us.
Two of the fish came from under docks and the rest of them were in, or around the edges of shallow weed flats.

I'll be hitting them hard all this week and conditions look good for hooking a few.
I'll be stickin with the bucktail and spinnerbait pattern, until the fish tell me something different.
