acorns falling
On the golfcoarse yesterday there were acorns falling from every oak tree.  Isn't this a little early?

Certianly sounds early to me.  Usually late September.  Were these white or red oak and were there a lot on the trees.

The oaks had pointy leaves.  Are they the red?  I always get them mixed up.  There were tons of them, and the squirrels were already picking them up.

I noticed the black walnuts are starting to fall also. We sure could use some more rain.
