Otter Tail Lake Fishing and Ice Update 12.15.08

Ice conditions on Otter Tail Lake are 3 to 8” the week of December 14th.  Growing ice every day.  Ice is very inconsistent so extreme caution is advised.

Perch are caught in 7 to 15 feet of water with a jig minnow combination.  Maynard Jigging Spoons are most popular.

Walleye bit is starting slower than expected, but are being caught in 8 to 25 feet of water.

Smaller lakes have good ice and pan fish bite is starting to pick up.

West Battle Lake is producing crappies in 22 feet suspended 2-4” off the bottom.
