There are several good resorts up there. Zipple Bay Resort is a great place to stay with 5 beautiful log cabin recently built 2 years ago. You cant meet any nicer people than Nick and Diana either they will go out of your way to help you plus, Nick is always on the walleyes so u always catch fish. Border View is another great place to stay. They now have a Grand Lodge that sleeps at least 12 people comfortambly. They just got switched over for new owners. Mike is no longer running it. It is now Mike Concella which is Mike Truemans son in law. But Trueman always stops in to say hello to repeating customers and new ones also. A couple of resorts that dont get that much credit cuz they are little resorts is Ken-Mar-Ke and Twin River. These two resorts have two of the best guides on the lake. They are very educated on the fishing all yeaer around and r always catching fish. They are a couple of great guys also. Wigwam is a great place to stay especially if u want to party that is the place to go for all the partying but dont get me wrong they also like to fish besides. Riverbend is another resort under new ownership i do not know the new owners very well but i know they kept the same staff so the only thing that will change is no glen and pam and they will be missed. Arnesons is a great resort they r one of the bigger resorts who always has satisfied customers and they always seem to come back for the next year. Long Point has some nice people and is a family based business where the customers r always having fun and catching fish also. If you want to go up to the angle and fish for the trophy muskie Baystore and Angle Outpost r a couple of great places that will put u on the muskies. Nice places to stay also. Northwest Angle Resort is under new ownership so i dont know the new people but i am sure they will do a great job. Sages has another guide that knows the lake up there better than anyone i know up at the islands. He always seems to find the fish and everytime i have fished with him we have caught over 100 walleyes for the boat so its nonstop action. Jakes is a great place also they have a hilarious guide that is out to have a good time and is fun to fish with. Protheros is run by a couple of nice older people that r there to satisfy the customers and enjoy doing wat they do. Now if you want to stay at Oak Island and get the beautiful view of the lake and sunset. There is Sunset, Flag, and Oak island. Paul from oak island him and his wife are some of the kindest polite people u will ever meet. Dan at flag is all about fishing and if u want to have a good time on the lake go there. Sunset is the main resort on the island that is where everyone goes to eat and have a good time. Thats my two cents on all the resorts up there hope that helps any of u having problems choosing a resort. Have a good one.
