Snow, Snow go away, come again some other day, like March of 2009 would be nice. We have more than enough snow for the season right now. We are getting another 8 inches as we speak, and of course the wind is blowing at 20 mph out of the North East. You know what I will be doing for the next 3 days, plowing snow once again. With that being said, the fishing was pretty decent this weekend. There were walleyes caught in 21 to 23 ft of water, between 7:00am and 10:30 am, and again from 4:00pm to about 9:30 pm, on Saturday and Sunday.

There were some keepers and plenty of fish over 20 inches. The perch have not shown their faces as of yet, but there were a couple of houses that caught 7 to 8 perch that were 10 to 11 inches long and quite a few smaller 6 to 7 inches long. I do have all of my house out and I am allowing all vehicles to drive, up to a one ton truck. We have over 17 inches of consistent ice right now, if it would ever stop snowing, I would have a road punched over to the Second Reef. But that will have to wait until Thursday until I can dig out from this weeks snow fall and wind.

I do have roads open to both of the Rock Humps out in front of the Resort. They are kicking out some nice walleyes also, at the same times as the break out in front. It seems to be the red gamy hooks on set lines and jigging spoons, tipped with a fat head. Shiners are also working on the set lines, do not get the big ones, get the smaller golden shiners right now. I have plenty of houses available for this weekend, so give me a call @ 320 532 3431 and I will hook you up.

The season is finally in full swing and we are ready to serve you. We are serving food every day from 7:00 am to 7:00pm Monday thru Thursday and 7:00am to 9:00pm on the weekends with the Bar serving drinks until 11:00 pm. That is it for now; I will post an update on how the fishing is during the week, on New Years Day.

Have a great week
