The Minnesota Vikings have avoided a local television blackout for their wild card playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles, after the team was given three extensions to fill seats for the game.

Vikings fans purchased more than 20,000 seats in the past six days to guarantee a sellout, which will be the Vikings' 115th consecutive. There are still limited number of tickets available for the game, including seats returned by the visiting Eagles.

I figured it would go right down to the wire to get enough tickets sold to avoid the blackout...glad it worked out. We will be getting together with some friends at their place to watch the Vikes pull out a first round win over the Eagles.

IMO, it's not lack of support for the Vikes..it's lack of people having money to go to the game. Times are tough!!!

I heard ticket prices ran from $80.00 to $280.00

Too much for me!!
