I'll be heading down south to do some fly fishing here in a couple weeks. Buddy wanted to go right away but with my schedule lately I haven't been able to do a lot. Will definetely report when I do.

Tim, what area do you go to? I could probably point you in the right direction if you come down this way.
Marry an outdoors woman. Then if you throw her out into the yard on a cold night, she can still survive.

I have been wanting to get into fly fishing.  Just havent had the chance yet to do it.

It's very easy. Especially in the winter when you are using freshwater shrimp, weighted nymphs, or something with sparklies on it and not worried about casting dries.

When I fish trout down in SE MN in the winter, I usually fish bigger parts of rivers, let my line float downstream and simply pitch it upstream and strip the line back while my weighted nymph does all the work.

I have a very good source in the DNR that a local dakota county lake was stocked with a few hundered browns that average around 3 pounds.  Anyone want a piece of that action come opener?  If you do, PM me
