Jaker no story for me.  I passed on the deer I could have shot.

I missed a big 8 or 10 at 40 yards broadside.  Wide open shot with NOTHING in the way.   :banghead:

Well I went out hunting on Saturday and we were walking and this deer that was behind some bushes just started running before we could see it. Then we were walking about 3 minutes later and came upon some elk tracks. There must have been 30 some different elk tracks. Then my dad and I looked up about 200 yards down the trail and there was at least 30 elk walking around those trees ahead of us! They don't see us because we were to far away to scent us. Then we look down the hay that the game, fish, and parks had set up for the hunters. There was a little doe so we let go. By then the elk had disappeared into the trees. So we start walking towards the trees. We keep walking and with out knowing it got withn 30 yards of the elk. They jump up and start bounding away. There was so many that it took at least 3 minutes for them get away. There were making so much ractit that they would scare all the deer away so we went to a different spot with the truck. We get out of the truck at the new spot and there about 10 feet away was about 6 turkeys. We walk around that spot for a bit. Then we went home. 3 hours later we go back to the first spot. We go a different and start walking towards a field so then there was a field on one side of us and a ledge on the other. We walk for a bit and turn around a corner and there is 2 deer and one runs away and the others stops for a second and stupid me wasn't ready so I didn't get it! :banghead: Then we walk back to where the elk were. Then an elk and 2 whitetails bound away. They were to far away for a shot. Then we sit down for a bit. Get up and I see a deer and it turns and runs away! So we walk a couple steps and my dad sees a deer down in the field. It was perfect! It was a huge doe. It was just what we were looking for and it just turns for no reason and bounds away! So I didn't get anything that hunt. But I have until the 31st.
