Walleye fishing remains strong on Leech.  It is for the most part and evening bite.  Be on the water ready to go by 3:30 p.m., the bite lasts till 6:00 p.m. or so.  We have used fathead minnow heads on rattle spoons.  Experiment with colors and sizes till the fish co-operate.  If you are having trouble attracting fish try straight spoons with no rattles sometimes it makes a big difference.

The problem is with the snow depth and slush.  Travel is very difficult with chains on a 4 wheel drive vehicle almost a must unless you find some plowed roads.  We have used snowmobiles for the most part.

Two weeks till the Eel Pout Festival, can't wait always a great time.

Good Luck, Murph
