A friend of mine and I stopped by Green Lake yesterday just after sunset. We had just got done getting skunked at a smaller lake in the area....  :banghead:.... And I didn't want to go home skunked.
There are houses EVERYWHERE out there! We parked in an opening towards the edge of all the houses. The weather was great, and we had a full moon so we decided to fish off the tailgate with a couple lanterns down by the holes. Talk about a good time!  :happy1: And we managed to catch some fish.
We were in about 22 FOW. I was using a tiny forage minnow with smaller fat heads. As long as my line was in the bottom 7 feet of the water column I would catch fish, and I could see the fish moving up AND down to my lure. I caught half a dozen crappies. All were about 8 inches but I've never caught a crappie bigger than that in Green...  My partner was using one of those 8 dollar chubby darter with no luck. He lost a few on an ant and grub.
No keepers but a good time was had!

Is this thr green lake off 95 between princeton and cambridge?

I had my wheel house out there all last month.
Between 7pm and 9 pm the crappies came in. I did catch several at 10 inches.
I was at 25 feet depth.

Watch out for the landing it goes away fast this time of year if it worm, and there is only one other landing that is not a poblic landing.

Last year watch sevral fish house skipping across the water last one did not make it :doah:
