nice rack. the deer on the otherhand looks like it was shot drug 20 miles by the neck and let sit outside for a week in 70 degree weather. i think i would get a different cape.

He had been watching this deer along with a bunch of locals for quite some time now and got lucky enough to find him when he hadn't seen him on the trail cams for a while. Great find and a great story.

I've got some other pics of how they found it, and what they had to do to recover it.
PM me your e-mail and I'll shoot them to you.
Alex

Congrats Matt S.

Marry an outdoors woman. Then if you throw her out into the yard on a cold night, she can still survive.

I would say that is only a single drop tine. It has to come off the main beam to be considered a drop tine. It also has to have a rounded point like a baseball bat. Kickers grow off the individual tines and eye guards and have a sharpened point. The drop tine is created by blood pooling in a damaged main beam when it's still in velvet and growing.  ;D

I just noticed this. That is a friend of a friend and he sent pictures of this deer to my cell phone a few weeks ago. I'll put them on here in a little bit. Very nice deer!
