I like Warroad and Virginia in A... AA I gotta go with Blaine, they have four kids that are offspring from Irondale's teams in the 80's(When I went there...) that went to state three yrs in a row!  Scott Bjugstad's brother's kid Nick had a great year, made the Star tribs 2nd team & I believe he's a sophmore! Theres an article on them in todays trib sport section.... GO BENGALS!

I am surprised Edina lost.....

EP has a pretty solid team. Hill Murray gave them a run for their money. I didn't realize they had issues during the reg season with their players.

EP vs Blaine - too close to call. If I absolutely had to pick I will say Ep to advance.

I'm going to go with Moorehead over CDH..They have a tough team, very strong.

And lucky me I get to work tomorrow eve! I get to watch Bantams hockey out at Pangel...  :doah: Been watching/working it alll week.

I'm sooooooo glad the cakeaters lost!!!!! Hopefully moorhead will lose now too so that edina can't say " Well we lost to the eventual champion, if not for moorhead we would have won..."

I have to admit I found a little enjoyment there as well. Edina has quite a coaching staff with four ex north Stars. Being an old Richfield grad any Edina loss is good.

Well what can you say? Moorhead is for real, and maybe the cakeaters will have a gripe after all.... I'm just glad to see an " outstate " school competing well. Hopefully they can beat the next in the priveledged line Eden Prairie. Should be a good game, I'm in a quandry. Root for moorhead, then the cakeeaters will whine, or root for Eden Prairie. Oooops, can't root for the new cakeeaters...

Yep... I too felt a little glee that Edina lost... kind of hated them since the 80's when my school (Irondale) would either get beat by Bloomington Jefferson or Edina in the state tourney.... Edina would always do that "holding up the newspaper when introducing your team" thing... They allways rubbed me the wrong way... Always liked Willard Ikola though....  I think Breck may be the new cake eaters though more than Edina... ;)

What made the Edina loss funniest to me was that Sports Illustrated was there to do a story on them!! HAHAHA, just goes to show you what a big head will get you...
