I've sent an e-mail to one of our Field Staff- Birch Haven Resort to see if they can answer your questions.  I believe they are only open in the summer, but hopefully they'll stop by and drop a few pointers.  Anyone else?

Thanks for sending that email out Jeff! I assuming that Dave is your Field Staff member at the resort? From what i have heard he is really knowledgeable about the lake! Thanks again Jeff!

This is Dave from Birch Haven Resort. I will be fishing the opener here on Birch. If you look at a lake map you will see the rock bar off the west end of the big island. I will fish the drop off to the south of there. If you would like more detail stop by the resort and I will give you a map of the lake and mark a few other spots, as I don't want to give all away on line. LOL.
