That and maybe we can get some local MN talent on the team... was listening to KFAN/Common Man with Rosen, and they brought that up... I always thought it was a travesty to not have some local or at least some college players that played at UMD... ND... U of M... St. Cloud...  (Wisc.?) ect. Risebrough almost seemed to be anti-MN player... Youd always hear him & Lemaire deny that in the press, but over nine years, it being "The state of Hockey" and all... we should have seen more than Darby, Parrish and a sighting of Irmen for a moment or two... and Im not sure Parrish & Darby were treated very well when they were here.... Just from a PR standpoint I cant believe we havent drafted more locals... but then when ya sell out every game for 8-9 years, Doug must have thought they were doing every thing exactly right, eh?  I personally think they were lucky the fans filled the place the whole time... its probably mostly because we were hockey starved after the Stars(make that N-Stars) left for Texas.... Im hoping Mr. Leopold sees this.. hes kind of a local guy.... Ya know what would be a good move?  Get Modano to come back to MN for his last year(s)... even if he did rip us when the N-stars left... I'd forgive him! ;)

did not include him cause they got a draft pick by trading there exculsive neogation rights before July 1st

They did get a 6-7 rounder for that granted it was only one day but it was some thing

Yeah, thats right... That is quite the list, eh?  I sure hope they sign Foster after all he went through... that dude has the wickedest slapshot I remember seeing...Bobby Hull like.... goalies gotta love him.... ;)  The ones that stick in my craw arent the high profile guys going.... Letting Fedorek go when they could have re-signed him on the cheap, and Dougy's biggest blunder, signing Simon.... what the hell was that?  All in all, I think Risebrough and Lemaire were as good of a team as you could ask for as far as getting an expansion club out of the gate and doing the right things at first... but maybe the owners should have pulled the plug a bit sooner... heresay is pretty easy though.  I hope Leipold makes good choices here coming up.... Anyone listen to WCCO last night with Max... Lou Nanne and a handfull of Wild players were on... pretty interesting stuff.... Im already looking foward to next year and we dont even have a coach or a GM yet!
