Opening day was a tad on the disappointing side for just about everyone.  The cold dreary day didn't help the situation.  Thankfully today is looking better!  The sun is shining and the temp is expected to reach mid-upper 50's.

The few reports that have come in for Walleyes are reporting that they are still in the shallows.  Crappie and sunfish have been striking pretty good.  But for the most part everyone has been catching bass and joking that in a couple weeks they won't be able to even get a nibble from them.

I have a feeling that walleye fishing is going to be a little on the slow side for another couple weeks.  Water temps are still in the 40's, but a good week of sun would improve everything.

Bait is plentiful so far this year.....we are stocked with leeches, crawlers, crappies, fatheads, suckers, and shiners.  If you are looking for anything special let me know and I will see if I can find it for you.

And as always.....Good luck and have fun!!  :happy1:

It's great to hear that someone was able to find some eyes!

This afternoon I've been hearing a few more reports on walleyes starting to bite...few more days of sun/warm and they should be hitting really good!
