Well I went out with a guy from another site on Thursday this week. I wanted to learn how to handline and he's been doing it for a couple of years. We had a great time. Took my three year old daughter with me and she had a blast too. Handling is a great way to find fish as you can constantly move around and maintain contact with the bottom. We caught a decent number of fish but only two keepers, though they were really nice. Number 7 shads were the ticket on the handlines. I got my first double on a handline on Thursday as well, that's a rush!!

Went out this morning and hit a couple of spots early. Didn't manage much, just a couple of white bass and a smallie. Moved around and just couldn't get them to bite. Made our way down to Prescott and did a little better. In the first half an hour there we had keepers in the boat that were nice sized. After a little longer we decided it was time to try handlining out of my boat. Had some problems with the lines tangling as it takes a while to get used to but we managed a few fish on them. Ended the day in Prescott with a few fish to bring home. Fish that were caught were on handling, jig and a minnow or leech and Lindy's with a minnow or leech. They liked the jumbo leeches today for sure so that's starting to turn on.
Friends are like buttcheeks..........crap might separate them, but they come together in the end.
