14ft aluminum boat with a 20 hp motor and 2 people and gear. what size trolling motor do you think i should get?

Biggest you can afford, you can never have enough trolling motor when the wind picks up! If you boat has high sides another reason to go bigger as the sides will act as a sail and help blow you around. Also what kind of fishing are you doing? working shorelines where you need to move in and out or using your motor to troll weedlines.

I used to have a 14 ft alumacraft.with a 38 lb power drive ? I think it was a 38 lber. 12 volt and if it was windy I was screwed! Basicaly the highest lb in a 12 volt motor would be best for your boat. If you usualy have a partner with and they don;t or cant run the trollin motor very well I would get a transom mount Vector . (from minn kota)
