Let's go back to the minnow thing for a minute. So do all of you guys sort through the minnows and pick out the females. If so why am I the last one to learn this?

Actually I guess I do tend to pick out the blackest leeches for bait.

And by the way the guy with the big pike and two bridges behind him - is that Chamberlain?
It is true with fatheads. Try it with a buddysometime. You pick out the light colored ones in the bucket and feed your partner the bigger dark ones and see what happens. the results may surprise you. Another little trick is if you pick the lively leeches that climb out of the container (they are ribbed and called horse leeches) you may fool a fish but those ones are pretty useless for catching fish.
