one of customers got a very nice 40 inch northern and was released back into the lake #15 pounds..Spuds will put pictures on since he was here at the time.....nice crappies still being caught with a neighbor catching a 2.1 and a 2.4  and alot of buckets of 1# ers coming in...northerns very active and colors have changed already with the bright red fins showing on most of them..blue gills and bass and doing well ...so remember if you cant catch fish on this  lake .....sell your boat     had a nice talk with spuds since we both know the same people in baudette...since he works with them and I grew up there...small world

Fun weekend almost lost my fingers working on a pontoon motor and the lady started the motor and put it in gear....remember to always pull the kill cord before working on motors I didnt..had a group of young women and guys that partied till 3 am...had a young couple that were fighting all weekend...and then on top of it all I got hurt....I sure am glad very few weekend are like the last one...

we have lots of ducks on are lake and on the big lake it must have been a good hatch because I have never seen this many...and were did the blue bills come from ?  we have them in the fall but they dont stay to have babies here...they did this year.

if any one want to rice our lake ....call... the guys who did rice havent called so its open

stop in say hello we have great food and really cold beer

and the guy ate them  thats the sad part...come on up we will be here...the guy in the picture grandma and grandpa is the grandson of darrel and rosemary blauer one if the past owners ...this place was blauers resort at one time and they owned it from 1951 to 1972 the son ,grandson and great grandson are stay here for 8 days they will be here till saturday. The alaska guys had a little problem fishing a case of beer got in the way...and they didnt do well ....either did the beer it was empty when they got back and they didnt know where it all went... :drinking: after talking with spud we did figure out that alot of people have drove up 169 pass the casino and never knew that the resort has been here since 1941 with the only access left, bar and cafe and some of the hottest fishing a 700 acre lake can be and one of the hottest bass lakes.  and the Iowa, ill and ind customers are never going to tell any one from Minnesota...and the past owners didnt really care if anyone from minnesota knew or not...thats why I joined MNO because I wish I would have known about it ...but it was kept a secret....now you know....and if you ever try this lake youll like it ....everyone else has that has come up .......thanks for coming up and Ill keep the beer COLD for you spud :toast:

I'm not into beer but there is a full bar right?  :happy1: I'm really trying to get things lined up to take a trip up to you guys this year? maybe have to wait for the ice or spring bass opener? Fishing is great every week the way it sounds so i'll do my best to make it up !  :fishing2: :fishing2: :fishing2:

Leaving Friday at 4 am with the girlfriend, staying til mid Tuesday at Zippel Bay State Park. I'd like to go fishing out on lake of the woods... Its kinda fifty/fifty if i do or not. My bro might take me, but that's iffy, dads to busy, and can't afford a charter.

So we'll see. :)

I am one of those certain people. who are the other ricers i can meet up with them and see if there is enough to go around if not ill go to onamia
