Has anyone ever tried planting Red Osier Dogwood from cuttings? I've done a lot of reading on it and I'm going to try it but would like to hear how it has worked for you. We're doing some major land management and turning what has always been "dead space" into bedding, food and water. If the deer aren't using a area of our land we're going to improve it so they do. Any info would be great.
Let the small bucks walk. Don't assume the neighbors will shoot them if you don't. If you shoot him what chance does that buck have to grow......ZERO!

Big E,
I never tried cuttings but we planted at least a thousand about 5 years ago. They were purchased from the county through a CRP program.  I don't remeber the cost but I think it would be a lot less hassle than trying to plant cuttings.

Thanks deadeye. I looked at some prices and they really aren't cheap. I marked some on our property so I might try just getting some of my own cuttings.
