in my quest to find a cheap replacement to my Remington 1100, I came across a $177.00 shotgun at the great un-American department store also known as Walmart.  it seems that Maverick arms is a brand under Mossberg, and according to their website, both are made in the good ol' USA.  that being said, has anyone ever heard of them?  are they worth spending the money on?  FILL ME IN!

i think the old saying... "You get what you pay for" applies here.
If a gun kills people then I can blame a pen for my misspells?

That deal is like replacing your crown Victoria with a Pinto...I would at least move up to a 835 or 870 express myself

I can't speak on behalf of the Maverics, but I have owned and still shoot plenty of Mossbergs with out any problems.

I would have to agree with Buffehead and say spend another $50 and buy a better gun like the Mossberg 500 or the Rem 870 exprenyss.
