Removing lever on Marlin 1895G 45-70 Guide gun....

Does anyone know how to remove the lever assembly on a Marlin 1895G 45-70...?  I just bought one, The manual says its best to remove the bolt for cleaning, and to do so, you have to remove the lever.  The manual isnt too descriptive on how to do so....   Someone told me that the ejector spring may come out with it...   I may have the gunsmith from the store I bought it go thru it with me, but I was just wondering if anyone had any experience doing this.  I know its just one screw that needs to be removed, so its gotta be pretty simple.... Im also gonna be putting an oversize loop lever on it so its easier to use with gloves on.....

If it's not broken don't fix it.  It is not going to hurt the gun by cleaning it through the muzzle as it is not a 1,000 yard competition rifle.  If you use a good quality coated cleaning rod such as a Dewey rod it will not harm the crown.  Use Gun Scrubber in the action and then blow it ot with an air hose from your compressor.  Don't go overboard with the oil as it will gum up the action in cold weather.
