DNR to hold state land auction

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will offer 26 parcels of state land for sale at oral auction on Wednesday, Oct. 21. The auction is open to the public and will be held
at the agency’s central office headquarters located at 500 Lafayette Road, St. Paul, MN.  Registration is at 9:45 a.m. and the auction will start at 10 a.m.

The sale will include lakeshore, residential and recreational properties as well as parcels with development potential in the Twin Cities metro area. Prospective bidders are encouraged to obtain full information on the properties and sale conditions prior to the auction. No properties offered at the auction will be sold for less than the minimum bid identified on the property data sheet. The minimum bid includes the land value and any improvements, timber value and sales costs.

All properties will be sold “as is.” Property data sheets are available from the DNR and contain exact locations, minimum bids, site descriptions and conditions for each parcel being offered for sale.

For more information, call the DNR land sale line at 651-259-5432, or toll free at 888-MINNDNR (646-6367) TTY 800-657-3929. Interested parties also can obtain information about the properties on the DNR Web site.
