ELY AREA ICE REPORTS

The cold weather hasn't created much ice on the lakes as of yet.
A few small lakes have crusted over, but the larger ones are still wide open.
With the forecast we have, it would seem that most lakes should have some ice on by the 15th to the 18th of December.
Whether or not it will be safe for travel is yet to be seen.
I do not want anyone coming up north to fish based on false reports of ice safety, so will keep the forum posted on the conditions in a week or so!
