Just thought I'd toss this out there..... Went out to get a few boxes of bullets for my 45-70.  Hit Gander first, I believe they wanted $37 for a box of Hornady Leverevolution's... seemed high.  Went to Cabelas in Rogers... same stuff, $27.... Whats the deal?  I frequent most of the outdoor stores we have in the area, though I lean towards the more "locally owned places" (Joes, Fleet Farm) when I can,  But $10 difference a box?  Starting to get a sour taste in my mouth with Gander.... when I got a bunch of Berkley ice line recently, I got it at Gander.  Saw the same stuff later that day at Fleet Farm for $1.50 less a spool!  :doah: :banghead:  Anyone else noticing price differences like this?

I hate to point fingers and bash anything or anyone in public forums but I have to agree with what your saying thunderpout. When in the area I will walk through Gander just to look but besides a xmas present I haven't bought anything there since last summer and that was because what I wanted no-one else had. My favorite store is Fleet Farm.. and I just found out today that you get free popcorn with any gas purchase.  ;D I just hope they can expand their hunting clothing area a little bit next year and maybe get some more stuff but over all I like it there a lot. Heck, I walk through Fleet Farm once a week for the heck of it.

I see the same thing. The gun prices are sometimes way out of line. Same as the beef jerk prices.

If science fiction has taught me anything, it's that you can never have enough guns and ammo when the zombies come back to life... "WS"

Thats a fact pout, noticed the same thing myself,I wander thru gander on occassion to check prices, most often they do have good deals on target loads with help from the manufacture'ers rebates, thats because they buy in bulk, but hunting loads,"noway" I've seen hevi shot for $39.95/box and Joe's had the same loads for $19.95/box plus coupons.

The only true deals that I have ever found is in their clothing department.  They will have some outerwear like a fleece vest or coat, mark it down $10 or so and then weeks later make it 50 or 60% off.  Started out at $60 regular price, now is $25 and I can still usually find the size I need, although not always the color I would prefer.
