Heres the story..I sat opening morning on a ridge over looking a BIG swamp. At around 8:30am I could hear somthing moving through the brush on the opposite side of the swamp moving down a snowmobile trail (roughly 350yds away). I saw it was a deer. In the next opening I had the scope waiting and saw what looked like a nice buck. He was heading left to right and not really coming my direction. Well I didn't know it at the time but the doe he was chasing turned and came back into the swamp now angling towards me slightly going right to left now. I saw the doe cross through a grassy area in an otherwise mainly thick, tall willow swamp. I was ready and waiting when he stepped into the same area. I steadyed and squeezed one off. I cranked another one into the chamber and gave him another one in my next opening. I couldn't see him after that due to the brush. I didn't get my hopes up as archery was full of letdowns and bad luck for me. I gave it a half hour and made my way to where I shot. I follwed the trail and found blood. I felt very relieved. Both shots felt good. He layed 50ft. away. Its an incredable feeling to walk up on a nice deer. This is only my 2nd legal buck in my 11 yrs. of hunting.(I know I'm just a rookie!) He is a perfectly symetrical 8 pt. 18 1/2" inside spread. 10"G2's. He weighed 235lbs dressed! what a trophy and what a great hunt so far..

From my stand to where I shot him. Its the light grass area in the middle. I ranged it at 170-180 yds.

Great deer and awesome story MNATE!
Marry an outdoors woman. Then if you throw her out into the yard on a cold night, she can still survive.

Handle every stressful situation like a dog.  If
you can't eat it or hump it.

Thanks to everyone. Yes I am having a shoulder mount done. After years of long hours and hard work in the woods I was finally rewarded. It was quite a drag out of the swamp thats for sure!
