  • N St Paul, MN . . . via . . . Big Sky Country
November 28th
I found a 60 acre bay in Aitkin County with a half inch to three quarters of an inch on 50 of the 60 acres.
I would guess that someone might sneak out onto that bay this weekend.
I'd be back up there myself to check it out tomorrow or Saturday, but I'm at the ice fishing show all weekend.

For those curious about the Winona area, The little ponds around Winona have a light skimming of ice and Lake Winona is starting to fill in around the bays.  We are supposed to get a storm, 6-12 inches, so that could put a damper on things! :banghead:
I havent checked on Bartlet, but im sure it needs some more time since it has some springs!
I will be doing some scouting this weekend and hopefully finding thick enough ice to fish on!

ITS SUPPOSED TO GET COLD!!!!  :woot:

Permanent houses are showing up on Alexandria area lakes now.  Not sure on ice thicknesses however.  Reno has been giving up some eyes.  :whistling:

We have 8 1/2 inc on both lakes. Small cars are now driving on the Big pine Lake. Big fish house are being put out with ATV. Ice is good not alote of snow on the lakes. Walleye are biting good at 3-6 PM and from 7-10 Am in 15 to 20 feet of water.
