The walleye day bite on the mid lake mud flats is going for those who wish to travel out on snowmobiles on 12 inches of good ice. With the cold weather upon us ice conditions should only improve.  Currently there are no plowed roads in the mid lake areas so the noise factor is not a problem.  Jigging spoons 1/16 or 1/8 oz. tipped with a fathead minnow head or whole minnow works best.

Good Luck, be safe and we'll see you on the ice!
