the landing is closed to cars and trucks as of today. Ice is honey coning bad and landing has water in it. It will still be safe for 4 wheelers for a while but ask before going out. Springs are very active along shore line and open water can be seen by island.
The good news the sunnies are in 8 ft of water in front of the resort and the crappies are moving this way and being caught with the sunnies in late afternoon. If you dont have a 4 wheeler this area is just a short waalk from the landing.
I am only guessing but we should have open water if temps stay like this in 4 weeks or less. Im guessing this because the springs are very active and so are the muskrats. they have dirt untop of the ice and have open holes everywhere.
So if you dont make it for this bite see you in spring
