Lake Geneva Report From 6/9/10 w/photos

This was Jeff Berg's rematch trip after being out last week with pal Harry. The only difference was this time was he brought Big Gun John Flannery along. We managed to fare better this time round with old spots still being weak, but some new spots starting to pay off. Most of the action was with the largemouth, but we never lost complete contact with the smallmouth.
We fished dropshot and Carolina rigged worms with the largemouth being in tighter and the smallies holding at the edges of the breaks up to 20 ft.

The forecast was for gusty winds and they held off until late morning when they really began to blow and the lake was covered with white caps. Unfortunately for us we ended our day at the east end and had to fight our way back against the west wind. That's not a fun thing when you have older folks in the boat including those with bad backs.

Over all it was a good day for the guys and we were able to score early before Mother Nature took over.

See ya on the water,

Lee

**The capture of a really big fish is a pleasant surprise; were it a forgone conclusion, angling would be robbed of much of its fascination. It is the unknown in our sport which is so tempting.
